AFTERNOON TEA PARTY BAKING CLASS-HALF DAY | £95
In this hands-on afternoon tea party baking class, Caroline Hope will introduce you to the magic of creating your own afternoon tea party at home. This might be for a Downton Abbey style occasion or a Cream Tea in a farmhouse kitchen.
In this fun and informative class, Caroline will teach you the time-honoured baking techniques and secrets that used to be passed down from generation to generation. Come and learn her closely-guarded recipes and techniques to create a feather-light Victoria Sponge Cake, traditional airy scones, and crumbly melt-in-the-mouth shortbread.
You will be using basic tools – your wooden spoon and knives, with advice on which electrical machines for best effect for each technique. Caroline will also provide tips on how to get the best out of your oven and other little skills that embody the ‘elegant economy’ that shaped domestic life in the 19th century.
